Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. Click the 'Buttons' tab. Slide the 'Double-click speed' slider bar, to adjust the speed.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Buttons' tab.
5) Slide the 'Double-click speed' slider bar, to adjust the speed:
a) To slow down the double-click speed, slide the 'Double-click speed' slide bar to the left.
b) To speed up the double-click speed, slide the 'Double-click speed' slide bar to the right.
6) Click 'Apply'.
7) Test the new settings by double-clicking on the icon in the 'Test area'.
8) Click 'OK'.
